Ingredients
- 10-12 Britannia NutriChoice Digestive Zero biscuits, crushed
- ¼ cup cold unsalted butter, diced
- 2 medium apples, chopped
- ¼ cup jaggery powder
- 1 tsp cinnamon powder
- Vanilla ice cream (low-calorie, optional)
- 1 tbsp honey (for garnish)
How to make :
Apple Crumble Tart with NutriChoice Digestive Biscuit
- Prepare the Crust: Place Britannia NutriChoice digestive zero biscuits in a grinder and pulse into a fine powder. Transfer to a bowl and add cold butter. Using your fingers, mix until it forms a crumbly texture. Set aside a small portion of this crumble for later.
- Form the Tart Shells: Grease the tart molds and press the crumble mixture firmly into the base and sides to form tart shells. Prick the centers with a fork to prevent puffing. Bake at 180°C for 10-12 minutes, then let cool.
- Prepare Apple Filling: Mix chopped apples with jaggery powder and cinnamon powder in a bowl. Toss well to coat evenly.
- Assemble Tarts: Once the tart shells are baked and cooled, add the apple mixture. Sprinkle the reserved biscuit crumble on top, and place a small cube of butter on each tart.
- Final Bake: Return the tarts to the oven and bake at 180°C for 10 more minutes, until the apples are tender and the topping is golden.
- Serve: Top each tart with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, drizzle with honey, and enjoy your comforting apple crumble pie!
Special Tip
- Adjust the jaggery for desired sweetness.
- Add a sprinkle of sugar to the crumble topping for a crispier crust.
