Ingredients
- 350 gm dark chocolate
- 1 ½ cup all-purpose flour
- 4–5 tsp cocoa powder
- 1¼ cup butter
- ¾ cup caster sugar
- 1¼ cup coffee syrup
- ¾ tsp baking soda
- ¾ tsp baking powder
- 1 tbsp cardamom
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ cup icing sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ¾ cup yoghurt

Chocolate Cardamom Espresso Cake Recipe
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
- Add 1¼ cup of softened butter along with ¾ cup caster sugar to a mixing bowl and cream together with an electric mixer.
- Now add ¾ cup of yoghurt along with 1 tsp of vanilla extract and 1 tbsp of cardamom powder; whisk again.
- Pour 350 gm of melted dark chocolate into the butter mixture along with cocoa powder and room-temperature espresso.
- Whisk everything together to form a smooth mixture.
- To combine the dry ingredients, add baking powder, baking soda, salt, and all-purpose flour and fold everything together using a spatula.
- The batter should be a little thick.
- Take an 8-inch greased baking tin and pour the batter evenly into it.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25–30 min.
- While the cake cools, add ¼ cup of hot espresso into a mixing bowl along with 2–3 tbsp of softened butter.
- Add 2–3 tbsp of unsweetened cocoa powder to the mixing bowl and mix it well.
- Add the icing sugar a little at a time to the frosting until you get the desired consistency you want.
- Drizzle the prepared glaze onto the cooled cake and your chocolate espresso cake is ready.
Special Tip
This cake can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3–4 days for you to keep enjoying its chocolatey goodness.
