Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour 
  • ⅓ cup vanilla essence 
  • ⅓ cup sugar
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup coffee 
  • 1 cup whipped cream 
  • 1 vanilla sponge cake 
  • ½ cup oats

How to make :

No-Bake Delight: Coffee Trifle Recipe

  1. Combine oats, maida, sugar, and butter in a bowl; mix thoroughly.
  2. Stir in vanilla essence into the bowl with the mixture.
  3. Butter a piece of aluminium foil and place it in a small baking tray, then transfer the mixture to the foil.
  4. Press down on the mixture until it is even and smooth.
  5. Preheat the oven and bake the mixture for 10 minutes or until it turns golden and crisp.
  6. Begin layering by cutting vanilla sponge cake and dipping each piece into coffee.
  7. Place the coffee-soaked cake at the bottom of a serving glass.
  8. Add a layer of whipped cream on top of the cake in the glass.
  9. Sprinkle the baked oat mixture over the whipped cream.
  10. Drizzle coffee syrup over the oat mixture.
  11. Repeat the layering process with additional cake, cream, oat mixture, and syrup.
  12. Garnish the top with chocolate vermicelli and a pinch of coffee powder.

Special Tip

For an extra layer of flavour, toast the oats and maida mixture before assembling the trifle.
