Ingredients

  • 200 gm condensed milk 
  • 100 gm mawa or khoya 
  • 30 gm butter
  • ¼  cup milk (to be used when mixing if the batter is thick)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ¼ cardamom powder 
  • A few strands of saffron
  • Cashew nuts

How to make :

Delicious Eggless Mawa Cake Recipe

  1. Begin by combining the wet ingredients (mawa, butter, and condensed milk) in a pan until they mix together, then allow them to cool to room temperature.
  2. Next, sift the maida and baking powder, and gradually incorporate them into the wet mixture to form a smooth batter.
  3. To enhance the flavour, stir in green cardamom powder and saffron in the mixture.
  4. Transfer the batter into a loaf cake mould, and sprinkle some chopped cashews on top.
  5. Bake in a preheated oven at 175–180° for approximately 30 minutes (timing may vary depending on the size of your mould). 
  6. Voila! Your eggless mawa cake is now ready to serve.

Special Tip

Ensure mawa is at room temperature for a moist, fluffy cake.
