Ingredients

  • 125 gm refined flour
  • 1 cup semolina
  • 2 tbsp ghee
  • 150 gm fresh coconuts
  • 200 gm condensed milk
  • ¼ tsp cardamom powder
  • 2 tbsp cashew nuts
  • 2 tbsp almonds
  • 2 tbsp raisins
  • Oil
  • Water

How to make :

Homemade Gujiya Recipe for Crispy & Sweet Gujiyas

  1. Take a large mixing bowl and some water in a cup.
  2. Add the refined flour, ½ cup semolina and ghee.
  3. Add water as required to knead the mixture into a dough.
  4. In another bowl, add your coconut and remaining semolina.
  5. Add condensed milk, cardamom powder and the nuts.
  6. Mix well until all the ingredients are combined.
  7. Now take your dough and ball it into even rounds.
  8. Flatten out each ball and add a spoonful of the coconut mixture in the middle.
  9. Fold the gujiya in half and use a fork to seal the edges.
  10. Take some oil in a wok and deep fry until golden.
  11. Wait for it to cool and enjoy your gujiyas!

Special Tip

You can dry roast the dry fruits to give them an extra crunch.
