Ingredients

  • 500 ml colostrum milk
  • 200 ml milk
  • 100 gm sugar
  • 100 gm jaggery
  • 1 tsp cardamom powder
  • ½ tsp nutmeg powder
  • 2 tbsp Cuddapah Almond (charoli)

How to make :

Kharvas: Indian Milk Pudding Recipe

  1. Pour 500 ml of colostrum milk into a mixing bowl along with 200 ml milk.
  2. Add 100 gm each of sugar and jaggery to the milk along with 1 tsp of cardamom powder.
  3. Add ½ tsp of nutmeg powder and mix well.
  4. Scatter 2 tbsp of charoli on the surface of the kharvas mixture and let it steam for about 25 min.
  5. Your homemade kharvas is ready to serve!

Special Tip

Saffron strands can also be added to give the dessert a rich taste.
