Ingredients

  • ½ tsp cardamom powder
  • 2 tbsp cashew nuts 
  • 3 tbsp Britannia Ghee
  • 150 gm mava
  • 300 ml milk
  • 2 tbsp raisins 
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 500 gm yellow pumpkin

How to make :

Kaddu Ka Halwa Recipe: Pumpkin Magic

  1. Add a tbsp of ghee to the pressure cooker and place it on medium heat.
  2. Put the grated pumpkin into the pressure cooker and saute the pumpkin in ghee. 
  3. Add 300 ml of milk and wait for the whistle. 
  4. After the whistle, turn off the flame and wait 15 minutes until it cools down.
  5. Once room temperature, add the sugar and mava and turn the gas back on.
  6. Cook for 5 to 10 minutes until the water evaporates. 
  7. Once done, add the cardamom powder and mix well. 
  8. In a saucepan, add the rest of the ghee, the raisins, and chopped cashews. 
  9. Roast until perfectly golden brown. 
  10. Put the halwa on a plate and add the toasted cashews and raisins on top.

Special Tip

If you do not have time to grate your pumpkin, cut it into small cubes.
