Ingredients
- 1 cup mango pulp
- 1 ½ cup sugar
- 1 cup khoya
- 1 cup milk powder
- ⅓ cup chopped pistachios
- Saffron
How to make :
Mango Barfi Recipe: Summer Magic
- Take 1 cup of mango pulp and add it to a saucepan
- Cook until it starts boiling and then add about 1 ½ cups of sugar.
- Keep stirring and mixing until the sugar is completely dissolved.
- Once dissolved, add 1 cup of khoya to the mixture
- Keep stirring to avoid burning the mix
- Once done, add 1 cup worth of milk powder to give the barfi consistency.
- Mix well and set it aside for assembly.
- Take a well-greased tray and add a layer of chopped pistachios on top.
- Generously add the mango barfi mixture into the greased tray and spread evenly.
- Refrigerate for a minimum of an hour.
- Once set, you can pop it out, cut it up into pieces, and serve!
Special Tip
Freeze a tub of mango pulp to enjoy this dessert, even in the off-season!
