Ingredients

  • 250 gm all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup water 
  • 150 gm mava
  • 50 gm desiccated coconut 
  • 100 gm mixed nuts
  • 100 gm powdered sugar 
  • 1 tsp cardamom powder
  • 500 ml oil
  • 5 tbsp Britannia Ghee

How to make :

Stuffing: 

  1. Take a pan and put it on medium heat. 
  2. Add the desiccated coconut into the pan and roast it lightly. 
  3. Once the colour has changed slightly, transfer it into a large mixing bowl. 
  4. Add 1 tbsp of Britannia ghee to the same pan.
  5. Once the ghee is heated, add 100 gms of mixed nuts and roast.
  6. Transfer the roasted nuts to the same bowl where you added the coconut. 
  7. Add your mava into the pan and stir until it has softened significantly. 
  8. Once softened, add the mava to the mixing bowl. 
  9. Add the cardamom powder and about 60% of the sugar and mix. (You can add more sugar as per your taste)
  10. Mix all the ingredients in the mixing bowl thoroughly and ensure that the mixture remains crumbly.

Samosa Wrap:

  1. In your all-purpose flour, add up to 3–4 tbsp of ghee and mix it in with water until you form a dough. 
  2. Separate your dough into small balls and dust them lightly with dry flour. 
  3. Take one small portion and roll it into a round chapati-like shape 
  4. Cut it from the centre and make it into two pieces. 
  5. Take one of the pieces and line the cut side with water. 
  6. Once you have water along that edge, wrap it until you form a cone.

Assembly 

  1. Add the stuffing to the samosa cone. Once added, line the edges with water and fold it shut. 
  2. In a pan where your oil is hot and has reached frying temperature, add in your mava samosa. 
  3. Once it turns golden brown, strain them out and serve!

Special Tip

Serve the mava samosa in a simple sugar syrup for that added sweetness.'
