Ingredients
- ½ cup unsalted butter
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup refined flour
- 1 tbsp semolina
- ½ tsp cardamom powder
- Pinch of salt
- ¼ tsp baking soda
How to make :

- Add ½ cup of softened unsalted butter to a mixing bowl along with ½ cup of powdered sugar and whisk with an electric mixer.
- Add 1 cup of refined flour and 1 tbsp of semolina to the butter mixture.
- Sprinkle ½ tsp of cardamom powder and a pinch of salt along with ¼ tsp baking soda before mixing everything together with a spatula.
- Make a dough with your hands and break off small portions to make the nankhatai.
- Place a single cashew nut and pistachio in the centre of each portion before putting it in a preheated oven at 180°C for 18–20 min.
Special Tip
You can add some rose extract to give it a rich taste.
