Ingredients

  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup refined flour
  • 1 tbsp semolina
  • ½  tsp cardamom powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • ¼ tsp baking soda

How to make :

Festive Nankhatai: Easy Recipe

  1. Add ½ cup of softened unsalted butter to a mixing bowl along with ½ cup of powdered sugar and whisk with an electric mixer.
  2. Add 1 cup of refined flour and 1 tbsp of semolina to the butter mixture.
  3. Sprinkle ½ tsp of cardamom powder and a pinch of salt along with ¼ tsp baking soda before mixing everything together with a spatula.
  4. Make a dough with your hands and break off small portions to make the nankhatai.
  5. Place a single cashew nut and pistachio in the centre of each portion before putting it in a preheated oven at 180°C for 18–20 min.

Special Tip

You can add some rose extract to give it a rich taste.
