Ingredients
- 400 gm condensed milk
- ½ cup dry fruits
- 1 ltr milk
- 100 gm sugar
- 100 gm Britannia ghee
- 250 gm kolam rice
- Saffron
How to make :

- Add a little bit of Britannia ghee in a saucepan and heat on low flame.
- Once heated, add ½ cup of dry fruits to the ghee.
- Roast the dry fruits for 1 ½ to 2 minutes and set it aside.
- In the same saucepan, add 1 ltr of milk and set it to boil.
- Keep stirring continuously to stop the milk from burning.
- Add 250 gm of pre-soaked rice to the boiling milk.
- Add condensed milk and sugar once the rice appears to have been cooked and the milk has reduced quite a bit.
- Add the ghee-roasted nuts and saffron into the kheer and keep stirring.
- Cook for 8–10 minutes and serve with saffron on top.
Special Tip
Wait for the rice to cook before adding sugar, as it can interfere with the cooking process of the rice.
