- 1 cup sugar
- 6 slices Britannia White Bread
- Saffron
- 1 cup water
- Chopped dry fruits
- ¼ cup Britannia ghee
- 200 gm rabri
How to make :

- Add in all the sugar and the water in a saucepan and let it come to a boil to make a sugar syrup.
- Once the syrup is more or less formed, add your saffron for that hint of flavour and vibrant colour.
- In another saucepan, add your Britannia ghee for frying the bread.
- Add your Britannia white bread and fry until golden brown and crispy.
- Put them on tissue paper once cooked to absorb the excess ghee.
- Add the fried bread to the sugar syrup and let it soak but ensure it doesn't become soggy.
- Plate the sweet, fried bread and now ladle on a generous amount of rabri.
- Garnish it with some chopped nuts and saffron and enjoy your Shahi Tukda!
Special Tip
When making Shahi Tukda, ensure you choose the right type of bread otherwise you risk a soggy and messy dessert.
