Easy Shankarpali Recipe: A Festival Favourite

  1. In a mixing bowl, take ¼ cup ghee, ¼ cup milk, ½ cup powdered sugar and whisk it all well.
  2. Add 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 1 tsp sooji and a pinch of salt and mix well to form a dough.
  3. With a rolling pin, roll the dough into thin sheets and use a knife to cut small diamond shapes.
  4. Fry them in oil until golden brown, soak out excess oil with tissue papers and serve as a tasty snack!

Special Tip

Let the dough rest before rolling it out into thin sheets, and make sure that the oil is just hot, not smoking to prevent the shankarpali sweet from burning.
