  • ½ cup castor sugar
  • ½ cup packed brown demerara sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon powder
  • ¼ tsp ground ginger powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg powder

How to make :

Eggless Homemade Apple Pie Recipe

  1. Ground your Chunkies cookies into a fine powder.
  2. Add some butter and mix until it forms a dough.
  3. Take your pie pan and line the bottom with the Chunkies mixture. Press it into place and then leave it in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Prep your apple by cutting it into thin slices. You can keep the skin on if you like.
  5. The slices should be thin enough to bake in the oven.
  6. Pour some lemon juice over the apples to stop them from going brown.
  7. Add your ginger and cinnamon powder, as well as nutmeg.
  8. Lightly coat the apples with this mixture and then add your castor and demerara sugar.
  9. Add a little bit of flour and carefully coat the apples again.
  10. Preheat your oven to 180 degrees.
  11. Remove your pie pan from the fridge and carefully layer the apple slices on top.
  12. Pop it in the oven for about 30 minutes.
  13. Top with whipping cream when done.
  14. Your chunky apple pie is ready to serve!
