- 140 gm butter
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla essence
- ½ cup milk
- 1 cup refined flour
- ½ tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- Pineapples
- Glazed cherries
How to make :
Pineapple Upside Down Cake Recipe
- Add softened butter to a mixing bowl along with ½ cup granulated sugar.
- Cream the butter and sugar together and add 1 tsp vanilla essence.
- Add ½ cup of milk to the mixture.
- Add 1 cup of refined flour along with ½ tsp each of baking powder and baking soda.
- Whisk everything together.
- Add ¼ cup each of butter and brown sugar to another bowl and mix it together using a spatula.
- Take a tin and grease it with the prepared butter and brown sugar mixture.
- Decorate the bottom of the tin with 3–4 pineapple slices along with a handful of glazed cherries.
- Pour the prepared cake batter into the tin evenly.
- Pop the upside-down cake into a preheated oven and bake at 180°C for 35–40 min.
Special Tip
You can add in some pineapple juice in the batter for that extra tropical feel!
